Description

Dietary supplement based on Berberine and extracts of Red Rice, Milk Thistle, Coenzyme Q10 and Green Coffee.

A UNIQUE combination that synergizes the activity of Silymarin, extracted from Milk Thistle, with Berberine making the latter more bioavailable and therefore more effective in its activity at liver level, allowing a greater reuptake of LDL by liver receptors (see clinical study in Documentation).

BIOVALE LIP after five years of commercialization has demonstrated, thanks to evidence-based medicine, to be the most effective nutraceutical on the market in Italy in reducing total cholesterol and LDL levels and with the best cost/benefit ratio.

Monacolin K: natural statin.
Berberine: increases LDL uptake by liver receptors.
Chlorogenic Acid: modulation of carbohydrate metabolism. Improves postprandial endothelial dysfunction.
Milk thistle: promotes the maintenance of liver function and has an antioxidant action.
Coenzyme Q10: plays an antioxidant role in the prevention of cellular aging and myoprotective action against oxidative stress.

Useful for: regulating plasma cholesterol levels. Reduce hypertriglyceridemia.
How to use: 1 tablet in the evening after a meal.

GLUTEN FREE – LACTOSE FREE

The aim of this study is to evaluate the impact of a combination of berberine and silymarin on serum lipids and fasting plasma glucose (FPG) through a systematic review of the literature and meta-analysis of the clinic available randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trials (RCT). A systematic literature search in the SCOPUS, PubMed-Medline, ISI Web of Science and Google Scholar databases was conducted until October 2, 2018, in order to identify RCTs evaluating changes in plasma concentrations of total cholesterol (CT), triglycerides (TG), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and FPG during treatment with berberine and silymarin in combination. Two review authors independently extracted data on characteristics, methods and results of the study. The synthesis of quantitative data was performed using a random effect model. We identified five eligible RCTs, with a total of 497 subjects included. The combined treatment of berberine and silymarin had a positive effect on the

CT (mean difference [MD]: -25.3, 95% CI [-39.2, -11.4] mg / dl; p <0.001), TG (MD: -28, 95% CI [-35.3, -20.6] mg / dl; p <0.001),

HDL-C [MD: +6, 95% IC [3,2, 8,8] mg / dl; p <0,001),

LDL-C (MD: -29,1, 95% IC [-39,7, -18,6] mg / dl; p <0,001) and

FPG (MD: -7,5, IC al 95% [-13, -1,9 ] mg / dl; p = 0,008). The mentioned results suggest that the concomitant administration of berberine and silymarin is associated with a beneficial improvement in lipid and glucose profile, suggesting the possible use of this nutraceutical combination to promote cardiometabolic health.

A recent study presented at the AHA, the world’s leading cardiology congress, highlighted the protective role of chlorogenic acid, contained in Biovale LIP, in endothelial damage caused by post-prandial hyperlipidemia.
